I think these are great, but after a few weeks of regular use they started to retain food odors (even though we hand washed them and let them air dry, as the directions said). This weekend, I put them through the "hand wash" cycle in our washer with some other things, which finally got rid of the odor. I wanted to pass the tip along!

I have used Wrap-n-Mats for some time and appreciate them enough that I've ordered them again, this time for Christmas gifts for my family. I ordered them in the recycle print because I wanted to also make a statement as to how I feel about our environment.

I get compliments on it all the time!

I take my lunch to grad school each day and usually make a sandwich. The sandwiches fit perfectly—and even when I use outsized bread, I find that the Wrap-N-Mat® is still a great choice. It actually fits more than a traditional ziplock bag.
My only complaint is that the velcro is often in the wrong place: it's either too short or too long. I often use a rubber band to keep it closed (or just leave it loose).
I also use it to carry cookies for lunch.

I love the theory of wrap-n-mats

I love the theory of wrap-n-mats. My dislike is that they are flimsy and unattractive. In a sandwich utopia, these would be made out a single, thick material, like Lunchskins, instead of a a plastic-lined cloth that is attached at the ends and can fray and rip. The cloth and construction are not high quality. That said, I love the design of the product. I know I will have to replace these much sooner than other products, but they work as described.

These mats are fantastic. I bought them for the lunches of my 5-year-old son and my husband. Both boys like them. My husband eats a full sandwich but my son only eats a half, and the mat accommodates either size. They can fit all the other foods from their lunch bags on the mat. They clean up quickly, but the material side must air dry, so I recommend having extras. Previously, I had used a hard plastic container for my husband's sandwich, but the soft-sided nature of these mats is helpful to me when I need to fit everything in the lunch bag. I highly recommend this product.

the Velcro is very strong. It's about 3 times stronger than it needs to be. Really, how much does it take to keep a sandwich wrapped? Don't wear a sweater to lunch because it's an accident waiting to happen. All joking aside, good product. Have yet to test it's long term durability and have yet to wash them, however.

The regular size mats are good for average size sandwiches and I like the fact that I have a built in place mat. After use I simply wash with mild dish detergent, open it and let it air dry in a few hours.

Wrap n Mat - Regular size, set of 3
by Monique L - 11/2009
Too small by 1" in both directions. I generally like the wider whole grain breads. I love the product and enjoy the larger size very much for lots of lunch things, including a bodacious submarine sandwich.

These are an excellent investment
by Cathleen R - 11/2009
These are an excellent investment. I've been using some of mine for over a year. I even put them through the washing machine every few weeks (wash on cold, hang dry). I'd highly recommend these!

We own Wrap-N-Mat's and use them all the time
by Heather J - 10/2009
We own Wrap-N-Mat's and use them all the time. I just bought a set for my mom who saw them and really liked them. These mats are a great way to reduce the waste of plastic sandwich bags and provide a nice place to eat your lunch anywhere.

I Love these Wrap-N-Mats!
by Sarah S - 10/2009
I Love these Wrap-N-Mats! You can wrap a large or small sandwich very snuggly. So easy to use for kids, and my husband uses them as well. My only concern is whether the plastic liner will hold up. Time will tell, but for now they are great! We have completely eliminated plastic baggies from our lunches!

These are really great. We use them for my husband's lunch. I hand wash them with the dishes every night, and they're always ready for use.

They're good in that they keep my sandwiches well
by Steve S - 10/2009
They're good in that they keep my sandwiches well and are much more environmentally friendly than throw-away bags. That said, it takes a while to learn how to wrap sandwiches that aren't on square bread, like most of mine on rye or good whole wheat, and they do mean you have to wash them every time you use them, but at least water is renewable (even though it's rationed where I live). They're worth it and I'd buy them again.
