Excellent product, great quality, perfect for lunch boxes to pack small foods. I would not recommend for liquids though as it may leak.

These are awesome. Dishwasher-safe and lightweight, they really are the perfect size for a kid-sized snack of cookies, crackers, small berries, edamame or cut fruit and veggies. Highly recommend and I'll be buying more for my daughter's lunchbag.

I had read about the quality issues with the Sidek
by Lynnette C - 11/2009
I had read about the quality issues with the Sidekick from other reviewers but decided to purchase 2 anyway. When they arrived, I found that one had really serious "black marks" on the inside, much like the stainless steel had tarnished or it wasn't even plated properly. There was no way I'm going to put food in contact with those black marks, so I contacted CS and returned both (the other one had some black stains, but not as much as the first). I have to say that Reusablebags CS is awesome! They refunded my return shipping (I'm out of the US) and promptly shipped me another 2 Sidekicks when they received the ones I returned. But I was disappointed when I received my 2 new Sidekicks. There were still some black stains, although this time, mainly on the outside. I thought I could live with that, so I proceeded to hand wash my sidekicks (we have no dishwasher here). To my horror, I found that the inside smelled really bad! It smelled like garbage. Really smelled like garbage which has been sitting around for a month. I've since washed it well with lots of dishsoap numerous times but the smell is still there. It seems slightly better but the distinct smell of garbage is still there. There's really no way I'm going to be putting food in there. I've not contacted CS about this yet because I'm just very disappointed, but I might write them an email very soon. Other than the problems I faced, I think the sidekick is a great size for sauces, or snacks for toddlers. A real pity about the quality issues. :(

I live, live, live by these
by Yssa B - 10/2009
I live, live, live by these. All our lunches are packed i some sort of to-go ware. The sidekicks are the only thing out there small enough for a kids snack or a condiment. Wonderful design. Lid stays on nice and tight yet easy for my 5 year old to open

I ordered this thinking it would be good for snack
by Laura M - 09/2009
I ordered this thinking it would be good for snacks for my daughter lunch box but it is tiny. Maybe it would work for a toddler and some very small amount of snack. I was going to return it but I am now using it as a salt container.

I have used the To-Go Ware tiffin pot for 2 years
by TAmmy W - 08/2009
I have used the To-Go Ware tiffin pot for 2 years. I always wished there was a little container to keep sauces in. The sidekick is perfect. we have used it for salad dressing, salsa and peanut butter. It works great. The lid fits securly and has not leaked one. A snap to clean up. Another great item to add for you waste free lunch.

These are the perfect size for toddler snacks
by Gina B - 07/2009
These are the perfect size for toddler snacks. I can actually put it on my toddler's car seat, and he can serve himself. Only complaint is that one of the lids got stuck and wouldn't open. But Reusablebags customer service was awesome, and they just sent me a new one with no questions asked.

I bought a 3 tier tiffin with a sidekick awhile ba
by melissa B - 06/2009
I bought a 3 tier tiffin with a sidekick awhile back and it worked great. Unfortunately, as some people have noted, the tiffin did tarnish a bit. Luckily I emailed to-go ware and they replaced the sidekick quickly. I was told that occasionally a bit of the polish does not all come off and that is what causes the problem. My new sidekick does not have that problem at all. Its secure and a great size. Neither spilled - the first I used with ranch dressing, the other with mustard and I didn't have a problem opening them.
If anyone has a problem with the sidekick, I hope they'll write reusable bags and give them a second chance - they beat little glad plastic containers.

I absolutely love this item
by pamela c - 06/2009
I absolutely love this item. It makes me feel so good to not have to use plastic in my kids lunches. I have used them for everything, strawberries, carrots and dip, apple sauce and it is all great, no leaks. The kids can open them no problem and everything stays fresh. It is a must have for me and no plastic! Yea

I bought a few of these for both my kids lunch box
by Louise R - 03/2009
I bought a few of these for both my kids lunch boxes and for my baby's pureed food for on the go. I thought they would be a perfect size and solution for the baby food without the concern over plastics. I was very disappointed though to find that they have a tendency to rust and also black "tarnish" comes off on to your teacloth when you dry them especially from the inside rim so I am scared to use them for baby food. Also, one of the lids just cracked open upon going into the top rack of the dishawasher - leaving very sharp and dangerous metal edge exposed! They are great for dried foods like nuts. Anything wet in them and I'm concerned about the rust and the black tarnish mixing / leaching into the food. Can't use them for baby as hoped. Great idea but very disappointing product quality.

Great product, used everyday for kids' and husband
by Lynda C - 03/2009
Great product, used everyday for kids' and husband's lunches. Just the right size for kids; would like a bigger one for husband. Cleans up easily, and fits together just tight enough. Thanks!

I purchased these sidekicks for snacks for my girl
by Concetta H - 03/2009
I purchased these sidekicks for snacks for my girls (ages 6 and 3)....and they LOVE THEM!!! They're easy enough for them to open and close by themselves but the tops do not fall off. My 6 year old loves the fact that they're called 'sidekicks' and is very proud that she doesn't use plastic baggies or plastic containers. These are inexpensive enough to make great stocking stuffers, which I intend to do this holiday season!
