| My sigg bottle is okay. I was a nalgene fan, and I miss the wide mouth and the place to attach a carabiner to the bottle. The mouthpiece took a bit to figure out, and it's good once you get the hang of it. Water stays super cold, until exposed to heat, then gets hot quick~ not such a good feature. ... more |

Healthy & Safe
SIGG reusable bottles have been independently tested to prove no detectable leaching of harmful chemicals like BPA ( learn more about BPA). SIGG's proprietary bottle lining is a water-based, non-toxic coating that is baked into the interior walls and remains flexible and crack resistant for the life of the bottle. SIGG's lining is not plastic – it is a micro-thin epoxy. Due to the finish of the liner, there is much less chance for bacteria build-up with a SIGG as opposed to plastic containers. Care Instructions
Rinsing your SIGG thoroughly under the faucet with warm, soapy water at the end of every day and letting it air dry with the top off provides sufficient cleaning in most cases. When more thorough cleaning is required, you can use baking soda and vinegar. For tough jobs, pick up some SIGG cleaning tablets and a SIGG brush. Do not use a hard bristled brush to clean the interior of your SIGG bottle as this may damage the liner.

I'm happy with this product, but since purchasing it have questioned if I should be using an aluminum container at all. (yes, prior to purchasing I read all the good stuff about SIGGs interior water-based liner so if I am using aluminum, I suppose this is the best of the bunch). I like the "lip" of the bottle, where you actually drink from. It is shaped nicely to function well. I don't like the sport cap, find it awkward to press my lips onto it to indent it to get the water to flow OR use my dirty finger to hold the thing indented, I don't like that. As such, I just unscrew it and drink it from the bottle which is fine. I don't like that I can't put it in the dishwasher and that it gets unbearably HOT when I try to wash it myself. If I were to purchase one again for myself I'd probably get the Kleen Kanteen; my kids have it and it can go in the dishwasher. Finally, sometimes it leaks. Yes, I have the sport cap in the "locked" position and I screw/unscrew the whole lid and still it drips. Today it dripped all over my coat! I wouldn't use anything in it other than water because it is difficult to clean without purchasing the special brush and because it has this pesky leak issue intermittently.

This bottle is great for travel. It fits in the cup holder of my car and is also compatible with the bottle holder on my bike. The cap is nice so that you don't have to unscrew the cap and drink from the metal bottle. Overall it's really nice.

Great bottle! I love that Sigg is coming out with so many different types. The only complaint I have is that the sports cap is a little difficult to use because you have to push into it to get the water to come out. While this is great to prevent leakage, it's a little awkward when you're running. I still love it, though!

Okay - well I got my fabu bottle cleaned it out and decided that our trip to the farmers market would be a great time to try it out - it was great it kept my drink cold - really cold for hours. Unfortunately, I am going through a major health crisis - and was forced to start using a walker - at 42 I was not mentally prepared but making the best of it. Now the big bummer - comes when I got home I realized that while navigating through the farmers market not being used to the walker - I must have set my bottle down so now it is gone :-( ---- I am so sad it was so perfect - I hope that whoever finds it uses it and enjoys it -- because I miss it soooo much. I guess I will have to order a new one after the holidays.

I like that the bottle does not change the taste of the water, but my only complaint would be the sport top. It's frustrating to have to push on the opening while sucking on it to get the water out. It would be nice to just have it flow out without pushing on it too. Another minor thing would be that it's so super cold on the outside with cold water inside that I have to cover my hands to hold it when I take it to the gym.

I use this almost everyday, whether to the gym or traveling or just going to work. I love the ease of the bottle, however, with how much I've paid for it, I'd wish they'd make it more scratch proof. That said, my bottle is now full of silver-gray scratch marks all over it, making the pretty blue, well, not so pretty any more.

I really like my SIGG bottle. The top is great -- leak-proof -- and easy to use. The bottle does sweat a little when you put cold water in it. It is also a bit heavy and is not dishwasher proof. Still, if you only use it for water, it is easy to clean -- just rinse with warm/hot water and let it dry out. For someone who wants a reusable bottle with a "sports" top, I believe this is among the best out there.
