I thought the bags would be see-through because the word 'mesh' is in the title of the product. They are not see-through. I don't suppose the checkout workers will like opening every bag to see what's inside.

Awful!!!! Everything I put in them rotted sooner. I had moldy grapes, soggy, black bananas, mushy green peppers, etc.

I like using the cart bags the most, and the other bags are great for general shopping-- when I remember to bring them in with me! The only thing I do not like are the produce bags. The checkout people always think they are pillowcases and dump the produce out in order to see it and weigh it. I wish there were a lighter and see-through produce bag-- maybe some sort of recycled mesh.

These produce bags are wonderful! It used to make me crazy to use those plastic produce bags, then put them into my reuseable shopping bags. Besides their functionality and nice construction, I love that fellow shoppers ask where I got them. I'll keep spreading the word ... you keep bringing the useful products!

I had really high hopes for the Evert Fresh green bags, I had read numerous reviews saying they worked well. I tried to follow guidelines I'd seen online--like folding the top of the bag instead of twisting it. Unfortunately, no matter how I packaged my produce, it ALL went bad much more quickly than if I'd used a regular zip bag. I tried several different ways of closing the top; I tried washing vs not washing the produce before placing in the bag. Nothing worked for me. I'm really disappointed... I bought 4 packages of these bags and can't use them for produce.

Evert-Fresh Bags - The best for vegetables and fruits We started using this brand when we lived 45 minutes out of the town and being disabled and not driving any longer, my husband would have to stop for groceries alot. What a difference they have made for keeping things fresher and lasting alot longer. Especially when you pay for organic. We wrap a sheet of paper towel around the item, which helps keep the moisture down, put it in the bag and get as much air out of the bag as possible and close off w/a bag clip.We put almost eveything in the frig, except potatoes and tomatoes. Write down the # on the outside of the bag each time you use them to monitor how long each bag will last you. They say from 5-10 times. They will cut down on expense of items, trips to the store, and keep the freshness "alot" longer. We haven't tried the other brand. We find the medium and large sizes the most useful. We also use the Green Disks in the bins and the bags in the actual refrigerator when we don't have room in the bins. Try Organic Red Leaf and Romaine lettuce. Wash and spin in spinner and put in green bags w/paper towel so you have it available day after day. You'll never eat "regular" or "bag" lettuce/salad again!!!

The mesh bags that were part of the set were not mesh at all, they were cotton canvas. My purpose for ordering them was to take to the grocery store for produce, wanting the store cashier to be able to read the label and see the produce through the bag. Was disappointed about that.

The produce bags are a best keep secret. I buy a lot of vegetables and go bad fast. The vegetables last a lot longer when stored in these produce bags. I think I recouped the cost of the bags back in one week with the savings of not having to buy fresh vegetables. It is diffinitely one of the best purchases that I have made.

I ordered and received both the green produce bags and the cotton storage bags. I had done some research on these products and had some reasonable hopes. Well, I've been using both types of bags for a little over 2 weeks, and have been surprised at the results. My produce stays fresh longer in the green bags, and fruits clean an much less bruised in the cotton storage bags. I am very happy with both products and plan on purchasing some sets as gifts.

The fruit and veggie bags work great! My husband got tired of waiting for the green bananas in them to ripen, so he went to the store to get yellow ones. No more throwing brown bananas away.

The Reusable Produce Bag kit is great. We haven't had enough time to test the produce life-extending discs and bags, but we have a lot of faith in them and hope they help use waste less. Our refrigerator crispers are packed full of vegetables and fruits in the bags. As far as the cloth produce bags go, we feel great carrying them around in the store instead of plastic bags. For each reusable bag that we carry, Kroger takes $0.05 off of our grocery bill. The appear to be durable, and can be washed if dirty. They cinch up at the top. They have been more than large enough thus far for what we have been buying. We use some of them as our lunch bags. We hope to buy reusable grocery bags very soon from this website!
