I am not a paper cup

I bought two of these cups and know I have wasted $40.00 . I hand washed the cups and lids because I thought they would last longer, within two weeks they caps had little tears where you drink the beverage. Not they dribble and are useless. Not a good purchase.

looks great, but has fatal design flaw

I have 2 of these. They look great, but have a fatal design flaw: the lids leak. If you keep them scrupulously clean and the sun is shining and the wind blowing in just the right direction, you might actually be able to drink out of one without it leaking all over you. Then again you might not, and you'll be incredibly frustrated when hot tea or coffee suddenly drips from under the lid and onto your clothes. Purchase these only if you are prepared to use lidless, or remove the lid when you want to drink from them. Annoying, to say the least.

I love how they look, but can't use as a "to-go" cup b/c the lid leaks. I would think I just got a bad one, except that I bought 2 & have the same problem w/both lids. However, they are great to use lidless around the house, just disappointed that I can't use them for the intention during purchase.

This cup is entertaining and cute for any self proclaimed styrofoam cup person- hater or lover. It is more of a novelty than a good mug, though. I am not plastic "sensitive" like another reviewer suggested, but the lid does have a strong silicone rubber-like odor. The odor does not go away with washing. Even my fairly oblivious husband complained about the lid smell. I am puzzled that the lid smell is not mentioned by more reviewers and wonder if all lids are manufactured the same????. The lid smell alone is a huge deterrent for me NOT to use my cool new mug. Bummer for me. The lid also does pick up stains easily as another reviewer reported (not a problem for me). The mug part is nice- porcelain, good mouth feel, retains heat well, washes well, seems well made so far (it is on the small size, but you know the ounce capacity before you buy it) An O.K.indulgence gift if this appeals to your sense of humor. Otherwise, go practical.

it doesn't hold a lot of liquid and the lid smells

it doesn't hold a lot of liquid and the lid smells. if you're sensitive to the smell of plastics, you probably won't like the smell of the silicone lid. it also stains really easily and looks dirty quickly if you don't scrub it. i've been using it for tea and i've read online that other users who use it for coffee are disappointed because the lid absorbs the taste and smell of coffee and smells bad after a while. i haven't noticed this yet though. i wouldn't say that the product is non-leeching. the cup itself, yes, because it's porcelain, but the lid smells awful and that taste does transfer to your beverage if it's mild enough. i drink high quality tea, many of which have very subtle tastes. i taste more of the silicone than i do the tea sometimes. i'm horribly disappointed in this product.

it looks cool and serves its purpose for a reusable cup, but that's about it. I don't know if it is the design or the material used to make the cup, but it doesn't keep you drink hot for long... no longer than a regular paper cup. at the end, I feel better that I'm not wasting anymore paper cups, but this cup is not worth the money

This cup is great, doesn't hold as much as we would like. Going through the drive-thru the guy in the window offered to throw it away! Everyone who got one of these from us loved them. My husband takes it to work with him every day.

I use it every day. It's quite cute, however I think the size is not the size of a "small/tall" coffee. In the beginning the silicon lid tasted this weird funkyness, but now its less noticable. Issues I do have was the plastic packaging is still sitting on my desk (I'm trying to figure out how to reuse the box) and originally there was plastic (non bio degradable bag) wrapped around the plastic box as well (which I was kindly advised by Reusuablebags.com team to take to recycle at grocery store)

    JUST GET ONE
1 out of 1 customers found this review helpful

    by Tara D - 04/2009

JUST GET ONE. you won't use it all the time, and you'll wind up getting some hot beverages in the regular old paper cups still when it's not practical for this to be carried, but when you're taking something from home and have a place to keep it (i.e. car) until you get home, it's great. If you take public transportation and walk a lot, don't recommend it because it's too heavy to travel with all day. It's really cool though, got a lot of questions/complements.
