It's wonderful this bag is made from recycled materials. However, that is the only exciting thing about it. It's a SMALL BAG. MUCH smaller than I would have liked. The straps aren't anything special, either. Basically, this is a small gym sack. That's it.

Love the drawstring bags!
by Lori G - 01/2010
I was pleasantly suprised with the cute and very lightweight drawstring bags, it's hard to believe they were made from recycled plastic-my kids love them too.
They use them for dance and soccer stuff.
Thank You!

I totally believe in carrying extra totes everywhere as to avoid using plastic shopping bags. I plan to give this one as a gift since it is a quality product!

I adore this bag. It's yet another one of the great environment-friendly products that ReusableBags sells. I use it as a backpack/purse/schoolteacher bag. I love the light weight as I have shoulder and neck problems that make using a regular backpack or briefcase a major challenge. It holds a lot more than you'd think just by looking at it. It is unobtrusive, durable, packable, foldable, versatile, and wearable, and seems to have an almost endless list of uses. The zipper pocket on the front is a terrific security feature and it helps reduce the "fallen to the bottom" issue that plagues any large bag. I'd buy it as a gift, should the occasion arise. I wish it had a "recycled product" or other identifying label on the front - not because it would make the product better, but because I'd like my world to know that protecting the planet is important, and easier (and cheaper) than many think.

packs down small and hikes well
by Albert R - 11/2009
This was exactly what I wanted. I already have 3 of the acme bags that pack down to a small ball that I keep in my small dry pack that I wear on my side (kind of a manpack.) The issue I always had was when I was walking for long distances and had things I needed to carry that were too large for my sidepack. I don't generally need it so I would need for it to pack small and store in my sidepack and yet still be comfortable to wear on long dayhikes, etc. This item was perfect!
It packs down small, weighs next to nothing, and the small straps were not even noticeable with relatively light weight inside. An added bonus was the fact that it hung towards my hip with the top part clear of my back so I had none of that sweaty back issue that I have with most daypacks. I am not sure if I would like it if I had to carry to much weight but for light loads it was perfect.

I recently purchased many items from reusable bags
by Lynda P - 08/2009
I recently purchased many items from reusable bags and love, love, love every single item. The drawstring bag is the coolest. I can use it as a purse or when I go to the farmer\'s market.

This is a great bag! Due to a recent hip injury I've been forced to rely on a cane to walk. I was really struggling with how to carry files, books, and other things around the office, to meetings or to and from the mailroom. This bag is the perfect solution -- the backpack style leaves my hands free for my cane and a coffee cup/water bottle, respectively, or to shake hands with a new client, or whatever. It's extremely lightweight and low profile, which means it's not at all like wearing a traditional bulky backpack around, and the zip pocket in the front makes it easy to find small items like pens, wallet, cell phone, etc. Since I bought it, I've even taken to using it as my general-purpose purse for casual errands, etc.

I love this bag. It is extremely comfortable to wear and as with all backpacks, leaves your hands free. Also no back and shoulder problems from heavy one-shoulder bags. You can also easily shorten the straps so the bag sits higher up on your back, which is what I find most comfortable. It's cute, inexpensive, and extremely functional.

I use this as my purse. Nice fabric, durable. Nice that it can handle a lot of stuff but is small when I don't have much in it. Comfy to wear. Great buy. I have both colors!

Product is okay--not the best quality, but great design. Zipper could be made stronger and material less flimsy, but very handy.

Love these bags - handsome and practical
by susanne w - 04/2009
Love these bags - handsome and practical. Cannot beat the price. Gave them as part of a gift basket at a recent board of directors retreat and these folks who tend to be very picky loved them. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

I can't remember how long I've looked for somethin
by Robin J - 03/2009
I can't remember how long I've looked for something like this. I like the drawstring backpacks because they are so small and convenient but it seemed that all the ones I found were disguised ads; expensive, or made of bulky materials. This recycled fabric is silky but appears strong; the cord moves easily to close or open and it is surprisingly comfortable. I like the addition of the outside zipper pocket -- it adds the ability to separate my wallet, etc from the main compartment but doesn't add much to the weight or 'squashability'. I keep one in my bag for those spontaneous heavy purchases [watermelon, anyone?] and one in my car.
