We're Introducing Reuseit.com

Since 2003, people have known us as ReusableBags.com - the site that spawned the reusable shopping bag movement and raised awareness of the plastic bag problem. However, through our vision and actions we've always been much more. To embody what we're all about, our store and ACME Bags line of innovative products are becoming Reuseit.com (reuse it). Look for the Reuseit.com logo on our site and products throughout the transition.

Update on SIGG Bottles

Have questions about SIGG and BPA? Get the facts.

Vincent Sigg VideoThere's been a lot of confusion and rumors circulating over the past few weeks concerning the old liner of SIGG bottles and BPA.  We want to do the best we can to clear up an issue that's left many customers, and us, feeling misled. Read the email we sent to customers last week regarding SIGG bottles purchased from our store.

As always, our objective is to discern fact from fiction, put things in perspective and provide you with guidance. Visit our new SIGG FAQ for more, and  check out our blog to watch a video from our founder and read a Q&A with the tough questions we posed to SIGG CEO Steve Wasik.

Reasons to Shop With Us - Reason #2

#2: We're a member of 1% For the Planet - we donate 1% of all sales to environmental causes.

1% For The Planet MemberOur partnership with 1% For The Planet is representative of our dedication to the triple bottom line and protecting the environment. Each year we donate 1% of our sales - more than $140,000 to date - to organizations devoted to the preservation & restoration of our natural environment.

Through 1%, we support nonprofits that are real "change agents" - making significant, positive impacts through their grassroots efforts. Our donations help them achieve their visions and represent another way we give back as a company, which is core to our mission.

We were disappointed to hear the news that Seattle's 20-cent bag fee didn't pass. However, the final tally showed 46 percent of voters favored the fee, which is pretty huge and shows that bag fees represent a smart, market-based solution.
